About Paramjit
Kia ora, my name is Paramjit, and I am a qualified, experienced home-based educator based in Takanini. I am passionate about creating a warm and welcoming environment where tamariki feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn through play. With several years of experience in early childhood education, I provide individualised learning tailored to each child's needs, abilities, and interests. My home is a calm, caring, and nurturing space where children are encouraged to explore, build confidence, and develop strong foundations for lifelong learning. I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their whanau, with cultural diversity, respect, and kindness at the heart of my practice.
Teaching philosophy
My practice is built on child-led learning, following each child's interests to encourage curiosity and engagement; play-based learning that supports development through exploration, creativity, and problem-solving; respectful and nurturing care that fosters confidence, independence, and emotional well-being; and strong whanau connections, working collaboratively with parents to ensure consistency and support at home and in care.
